Clos Padulis

AOP Fitou

In the heart of continental Fitou, Clos Padulis stretches its vines nearby the Quéribus castle. Padulis is the roman name of Paziols where the family settled in the XVIIth century. Here, in a picturesque landscape, the vineyards spread their curbs between the Tauch Mountain and the Vingrau Plateau, facing the the Pyrenees range. 13 hectares of vine and 2 ha of Olive trees. Carignan is at home, as the dominant grape variety in the Fitou appellation, which has held AOC status since 1948. Each vineyard plot is vinified individually, and the wines have been certified organic since 2013. They reflect the unique terroir of the region, and the vines shaped by the 150-meter altitude and the cooling inland winds that balance the exposure to sunlight.
